May 26, 2007 Steve's Race Report

The car was great out of the box again. I changed 1 pound of air all day. The track was slick and slower but it was hotttttttttttt!!! I started 5th in heat and got to 3rd and just road it out.

Race day, May 26th, was Mistie birthday and she asked me to win for her like she always does. Well this time I pulled it off for her! Happy Birthday Mistie!!!

I started 11th in the feature behind alot of fast cars. I didn't really have a race win on my mind starting from there ... I had a top 5 goal. I took my time getting to the front and took what I could without being stupid. On lap 14 I finally got by Luke Marzano in the 40 car. It was some of my hardest driving ever to get by him!! He raced me clean as always - Luke is a great driver. We are gonna try to keep it going at this week's double points 40 lapper.

Thanks to my dad for all his hard work all week and on Saturday. Thanks Pat, Joe, and Erik great job get your rest for next week. Sandi first point race is Friday. Good luck Sandi!!!!

Tom did really good in the 89 this week. He is getting alot faster every week. Mike and Don both made early exits.
