Mike
qualified by finishing 4th in his heat. After starting up front
in the feature Mike passed up to 4th until Steve shot by and moved
him back to 5th. From lap 5 Mike chased Steve, but as the field
strung out was unable to make the pass. |

Mike
started the race in winning form and was pressuring the leader after
the first few laps. On lap 10 he attempted a pass for the lead,
but fell short and fell back a few positions to 7th. As he was recovering,
Steve flashed by and the duo hooked up and went back to the front. |

Mike's
stellar performance in the heat race, where he lead many laps was
quickly overshadowed by a accident on the 1st lap of the feature,
Mike's car was damaged too much to continue the event. |

Mike
was hoping to put last weeks events out of his mind by a good run
and he did just that, almost getting a win in his heat race. His
runner-up finish landed him on the outside pole for the feature.
Mike was hanging with the leader through lap 13. Then was forced
high and lost a number of spots before recovering in 14th position.
Mike tried to pass, but the handle of the car would not allow him
forward progression. |

After
a 3rd place finish in the heat race, Mike was awarded pole position
for the evening's feature. Unfortunately, Mike only lead the opening
lap of the race. After slowly losing ground, Mike stabilized in
4th position and remained there till the checkered flag. |

Mike
got shuffled back a little on the start of the race, but quickly
regained the lost positions. By lap 5 he was running 8th and was
logging laps till lap 15. The same crash that claimed his teammate
found him as well and damage forced him from the event. |

Mike
was not as fortunate as Steve and had to run the consi to make the
show. He was successful and started 18th. Mike drove toward the
front quickly and was up to 12th when the results of a hard impact
with another car took its toll. As mike was coming around for lap
6 the engine began to sputter and then quit. Later in the pits mike
discovered the contact had fried the ignitions wires on top of the
engine. |

After
finishing in the runner-up spot in the heat race, Mike started on
the outside pole in the feature. Mike snuck in front of Steve and
challenged for the lead through lap 14. Steve slipped by on the
next lap and went on to win the event. Mike greeted Steve in victory
lane with a big hug and a high five. What a weekend for Stull Racing. |

After
Steve replaced his motor, Mike put Steve's winning motor in his
car and the power was still there. Mike started his heat race in
4th and by halfway was in the lead and driving away. This win positioned
him on the outside pole for the evening's feature. At the drop of
the green Mike slipped behind the leader and raced in 2nd spot for
most of the event. Mike assumed the lead when Steve fell out with
mechanical woes. Mike was on his way to the checkers, when coming
out of turn 2, he was hit by Curtis Truex, Jr. and both cars fell
from contention. |

Mike started 9th and consistently moved forward and claimed 5th
by the end of the qualifying event. Mike lost a few spots on the
start of the race and was in 13th in 2 laps. Mike dug in and charged
back toward the front. By lap 6 he was in the top 10 and still charging
ahead. A brief scuffle sent Mike high on the banking and he slipped
back to 12th. Mike set his sights on the leaders and started tracking
them down. As he closed in, the leaders crashed coming out of turn
2 and Mike avoided the spinning duo. As the laps ran out, Mike picked
up 2 more spots before the checkers fell. |

After
a good start in the heat race, moving from 6th to 4th, Mike got
crossed up and spun out of the race. Since he did not finish the
heat, Mike was in 18th on the grid. Mike sliced his way up to 16th
on the 4th lap when he and Joe Espisito collided, sending Mike to
the rear. The car just would handle well after the spin and Mike
had to settle for 18th after restarting in 20th after the run in
with Joe. |

In
the 1st heat Mike started 5th and grabbed 2 spots right away. In
the closing laps he drove into 2nd right behind Steve. After feeling
a bit slighted with the 12th place starting position, Mike ran hard
from the drop of the green and moved up a few positions. Luckily,
by starting in 12th he was able to avoid the wreck in turn 2 and
restarted in 8th. A few laps later he avoided another crash and
restarted right behind his brother. Mike chased Steve for a number
of laps, but Steve held his line and Mike had to settle for the
runner up spot. |

WIN |
Mike was really pumped up after running 2nd to Steve last week.
He really felt the night was going to be special. Success came early
for the Hamilton Township resident. After starting 4th in the 1st
heat race, Mike served notice that he was a force to be reckoned
with. By lap 1 he was up to 2nd and took the lead on the very next
lap. He never looked back as he crossed the checkers .492 sec ahead
of 2nd place. His win in the heat put him 4th on the grid. Again
magic was in the air and Mike got off to a great start. 5 laps into
the event he was running 2nd and 2 laps later took over the top
spot. From lap 7 to the checkers, Mike lead the field around the
Wall high banks. It was no picnic as 4time feature winner Frank
Polimeda nipped at Mike's rear bumper in an attempt to grab victory
#5. Frank almost had Mike lined up as they made their way past lap
traffic. As the worked through turns 3&4 the #07 pushed up in
the center of the corner and made contact with Polimeda sending
him into a huge puddle in the infield. Mike still had to contend
with a hard charging Ron Poley, but bested him by over 2.1 seconds
at the checkers. Mike enjoyed his 1st victory with Steve who finished
3rd. |

WIN |
Mike
lined up 7th this week and enjoyed the feeling of his first win
last week, that he wanted to feel it again. Mike also made a withdraw
from the "luck bank" on lap 2 as he avoided the spinning
machines that littered the track. On the
restart Mike started 2nd and disposed of race leader, Mike Fulton
on lap 5 to take the lead. A lead that he would never give up. In
a scene that could not have
been scripted any better, Steve scooted past Fulton on the next
lap and followed Mike all the way to Victory Lane. Again donuts
were the main course and Mike enjoyed every moment of his back to
back victories on the Wall high banks. |

Derby 32 - Day 1: Mike started 8th in the 3rd heat and encountered
mechanical problems and was unable to advance. Forced to run the
consi, Mike repaired his mount and started 2nd. He took the lead
2 laps in and never looked back. However, the win in the consi only
gave him a 22nd starting spot for the feature. Mike started strong
and avoided 2 pileups and advanced to 14th by lap 3. He picked off
a few mire until he caught Steve, then ran in his tracks to the
finish. |

Derby 32 - Day 2: Mike started the feature only race 8th and had
worked his way up to 4th, but the car slowly lost grip of the surface.
Mike fell back till Steve was behind him, then settled into a rhythm
and paced Steve to the checkers. |
